Headlight trouble

So my headlight is not working.

I have tried to replace the bulb, no luck
fuses are all ok.
connections are all ok.
My multimeter says 2.00 when I hook it up. All the other connections show 11.00 (tested both with the bike not running)

any ideas?

Is it illegal to ride a bike without the headlight on?

follow me... W and Bu are your low and high beam power wires... the switch switches between each one... if you don't have power to either, I would recheck that fuse to it; preferably at that connector near the switch housing... sounds like fuse powers up through the starter switch then to the headlight switch... follow the wire on the schematic then follow on the bike... on the bike, you can go by color, see the chart on the bottom right to follow the wires. If you can't backprobe a connector, you could make a pinhole and use a paperclip to check for power through the insulation(w key off when poking it, then key on to check), just put a dab of hotglue or something to insulate it again...

no worries, electrical isn't anything to be scared of... just direct wiring, follow the wires on the schematic and reference to the bike... trace from either the headlight bulb back or fuse forward. If horn works and bike starts, ground side is likely ok; but that can be checked w a continuity test from the ground side wire at the socket to the battery neg. cable w the cable DISCONNECTED from the battery... to open the circuit... should show low resistance in DVOM
