sorry, but you live in apartments.....and you have your bike parked out in the open all night every night. i couldn't sleep at night knowing that.

you should look into getting a close private storage place to park it.....and if it's your only means of transportation....well, rent a detached garage from your apartment, if those are not available....get FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE.

cuz i'm sure this will NOT be the last attempt.....by them, or by someone else.

again, sorry for what happened to you, it's a world with people waiting to do some deeds to ya.

bring the police report to your apartment and threaten to do something if they dont give you a garage!

Way to go man! I still would have popped one off in the air at least. So they knew I was serious and also to wake everyone up so there is plenty of witnesses!

hate theives! two years ago my bicycle (regular bicycle) was stolen from my 2nd floor balcony! It was at night and i wasnt home. My aunt who stayed at my place heard everything but was too afraid to make a noise. I was so mad when i learned about it. Not because of the bike but because of the obnoxiousness and audacity of the a$$hole to climb my balcony!

Like others i feel a bit of satisfaction for these guys getting caught and i certainly hope they will get more than "attempted theft" charge. Thanks to the police and the alertness of the sixshooter!

P.S. do tell us what were you browsing online in the middle of the night

Congrats on catching the guys and I'm glad to hear that you and the bike are ok. Also, good call on NOT shooting them (as much as some are saying.... well if it was my bike I would have shot them). You would have potentially subjected yourself to lots of time with the D.A., money spent on lawyers, time away from work.... to justify what you did.

Yes it is YOUR property and no one should be able to take it from you; however, unless your life was in danger, a grand jury might look differently on shooting these two dirtbags than the rest of us. (Remember, someone out there still loves those two scumbags and would have most likely tried to sue you for killling their crackhead love ones.)

nope, read the laws. since they didn't have his stuff maybe he couldn't have shot them.... either help them load it in the truck then shoot them, or shoot them and put it in the truck
