I want to put together a small "haunted" ride. I've been looking around the net and thru the Weird Texas book. Bragg Rd. outside of Saratoga is supposely an interesting place (links below). Anyone know of any other places around this general area? It's NW of Beaumont.

http://www.bigthicketdirectory.com/ghostroad.html

http://www.qsl.net/w5www/bragg.html

What about other areas? Anyone have any suggestions for a day trip that would include supposedly haunted or weird/unusual places of interest? I'd like to come up with a route that includes a couple of spots along with interesting scenery. A great eatery thrown somewhere in the middle would be awesome. Any suggestions?

And would anyone else be interested in going on a ride like this?

ew. Your sheets are stinky? Gross.

But I would love this ride! Sounds fabulous, but I have no ideas where we could go around there. Google to the rescue!

Yay! I was starting to worry that no one else wanted to go on a trip like this; I was about to bust out our most pathetic smiley and everything.

I'll check into the links you guys provided and try to work out a route that will hit a number of places. There are a lot of weird things around here: the beer can house in Houston, Stonehenge II (a really pretty route, but it's further away), the Forbidden Gardens near Katy, etc. But I wants to see spooky stuff this time.

Some of the old creaky bridges out in BFE would be cool. There is one area with a few very old churches within a few miles of each other.

No funny biz 'round the holy places though.

What's the general area? Are you talking around Beaumont?

Let me find the route. It was out west, maybe near New Ulm?

Depending on what we scout, it could be partially day then night. I was hoping you'd offer to film. No telling what may show up. . .

well my camcorder is out of commission, and thats what we'll need for night filming because we can adjust the exposure. i cant do that on my digicams. everything will just be black.
