Question Problems shifting into 3rd Gear

Last night and today I have had problems shifting into 3rd Gear. It is not every time maybe 1 out of 5 times. I have no problems with any of the other gears.

When shifting into 3rd sometimes it does not budge so I try it again once it engages I have no problem going into 4,5, and 6 then back down.

Any one know what this could be? Don't think it could be the clutch since All other gears are fine.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-

No i don't think it is user error, I am no pro but have been riding for about 3 years. I am supposed to hold the clutch in until the gear has engaged? haha just kidding.

+1, could be you just need to adjust the lever a bit lower.

What's your clutch lever freeplay set at?

Also, check / lube / adjust your chain. It can make a huge difference in shifting.

Lastly, when was the last time you changed your oil, and what oil did you use?

If you'd like, bring it by and we'll test ride it and let you know what it probably is, no charge.

Not to hate on Patrick, but I'm just down the road. I'll ride it and tell you if it's mechanical. That way if you need repairs, Motorcycles Unlimited's just up the road.

Did get new boots a few months ago, maybe I will throw on my old ones and see. Although I have been ridding with these boots for 2 months.

Chain is fine and lubed not to long ago.

Did an oil change about 2 months ago. 1K miles ago. I had planned on doing another next week so we will see.

I will see if I can bring it by Saturday.
