Re: Went down last week for first time

Well all my saving and my nice pop (co-signer) helped me get my dream bike. A Red 05 cbr600rr. I'm new to rideing so my brother and his friend who has been rideing for 8+ years showed me some basics. I'm not going to get on the road until I take the msf course next week. So I was just really practicing geting out of first and on working the breaks. My brother and his buds are going to H-town this sunday for a hooters meet but I'll just have to wait till I'm ready. Hopefully I can meet some of you guys later in the summer when I'm ready to hit the streets.

What are some things I showed look out for when I hit the streets? I'm takeing the safety course but would like some of your guys inputs?

WTF happened ? say one thing and do completely the opposite ? Look I am NOT about to get all over you about how you could have avoided this happenening as well as the flamefest you'll be getting here, Just glad your alive first of all............

I have to agree with an earlier statement, believe it was Steve's... You had all that time to think out all the scenario? man o man you shoulda rode away from that situation with at the very very least a creased seat due to your lack of experience...
MSF is your friend..
Gear is your friend...

Live and learn....... hopefully you will learn enough to continue living.

Re: Went down last week for first time

lol...some of you are brutal. I guess if I had a 250 or a used 600 the car wouldn't of pulled out in front of me :dontknow: The adjuster ruled on my behalf so my baby should be freshly painted and running again soon.

Since I went down my brother and all of our friends purchased jackets, gloves, boots. A week later I'm alot better other than a swollen knee and the scaby left side.

later.

I always like to point my friends at the nearest wall and ask them to give a run at it. I personally prefer to have my helmet on. right:
