I feel that I have to point out that there is a difference between religion and spirituality just as there is a difference between atheism and agnosticism...

My grandfather was the SWEETEST person in the world, but i watched him sick for 8 months with 3 separate painful bouts of pneumonia before he passed away.

1st u gotta remember, won't put ANYTHING ON u that U CANNOT BEAR...

2nd I think that everyday we wake up breathing, is another day HE IS PREPARING us to leave this earth.

So I understand ur negativity of watching ur grandmother and her pain, BUT U HAVE 2 HAVE FAITH THAT THIS IS 'S PLAN for her, and what we see as struggle is HIS WAY of being in CONTROL.

I also believe that we have 2 be mentally ready 2 LET GO... I honestly believe EVERYDAY that my grandfather laid in that ICU room half conscious, it was his will FIGHTING DEATH b/c he was worried about us, but as we ALL started letting go and telling him we'll be ok, he finally ACCEPTED what was calling him for. Probably the same with ur Grandmother.

For those that dont know.
Neuropsychology is an interdisciplinary branch of psychology and neuroscience that aims to understand how the structure and function of the brain relate to specific psychological processes and overt behaviors. The term neuropsychology has been applied to both lesion studies of humans and animals and efforts to record electrical activity from individual cells (or groups of cells) in higher primates (including some studies of human patients).[1]

Basically he is THEORIZING b/c he really doesn't know, that the only reason we as human beings think and an after life exist is b/c our brains and the imaginative machines they are cannot COMPREHEND no longer operating or no longer process information after we die. So we cling on 2 the thought of and the after life, b/c we can't fathom the alternative, there actually being NOTHING after our brain dies...NOTHING. It's a block in out brain that can't conceive the brain no longer working.

It's a good substantial theory, but what if by that small .001% chance he's wrong, and I didn't believe....I'm SCREWED.

Besides, my HEART won't let me believe different. So 2 answer the question, i've found it, but WHO MADE THE BRAIN neuropsychology is studying! HE DID

And is definetly a man.

Well, evolutionary biology would disagree with your assumption but, I certainly recognize the flaws in any of the belief systems. Which leads us back to neoropsychology which places an even greater illusiveness to everything and when paired with quantum mechanics we really find are selves deep in the rabbit hole. Which is a movie everybody should check out. Enjoy!

Does it matter whether HE's a man or a woman... NO..... He exists, and HE/SHE is the one who gave us these brains to think up these intelligent facts of science that express the other gift HE/SHE gave us.... FREE WILL, to either believe or not! It all points back to THE ONE.

Again, this belief pattern escapes me. So this is all a game for some great being in the sky? So the great beings plan was to create humans with no knowledge of its presence so it could sit back and watch the chaos unfold? So different beliefs could be formed and wars could be waged upon these beliefs? Seems like a practical joke to me. The great practical joker in the sky.

I'm ultimately saying what difference does it make, when it boils down 2 ur belief that HE/SHE exists. Ur belief that there IS a HIGHER POWER involved in life is what matters, not if that higher power is white/black or male/female.

I understood you and I would agree. Obviously a mighty being would be both but neither at the same time.

I don't think is a practical joke more than just FREE WILL 2 believe or not like i said.

Who says we don't have knowledge of 'S presence. I guess the world just popped up one day for nothing, "big boom theory". I guess animals just jumped up out of the vacant earth from nothing. A HAND played a part in the creation of civilization, as it does in ur life everyday when u wake up.

I guess the reason u haven't been killed or taken sick like thousands of other peeps that are meeting that fate while we have this convo, and the reason u instead woke up today as healthy as an ox is by UR power?! U pulling ur own chain on that one homie.

Have you studied biology? Physics? Chemistry? There are other answers to your questions. Me being healthy does not exactly have to do with a or gods but, then again maybe you are right. Maybe I am blessed but, why would let innocent little children be born with horrifying diseases and allow them to suffer?

If you have a loved one that is terminally ill or dies and you pray to to give you the strength to the strong for them or bear there loss, grants you that. Just ask the parants in the children cancer ward at St. Lukes.
If you ask for the patience to deal with particular situation that arises, I think that he is there to carry you through that as well.
Remember that old saying that helps those who help themselves. I think that this is directly related to what you ask for when you need it most.

I don't think that throws things at people, makes them ill, and cause the problems that he is blamed for. I think that these things just happen. He is there to help you through them.
Remember the passage that says everything that is happening to you has already happened to me.

Just my $0.02

A simple way of saying it is given some of the things that I've been through in my life, it'd be hard not to believe and from another perspective- given all of the infinite possibilities of this universe, how is it that all of these circumstances came together to create the perfect order of things we observe today and have been able to observe since the beginnings of written history? I am talking from the smallest atoms interacting with one another to micro-organisms which make up the larger organisms to planetary and cosmic systems. Considering all of this and all of the reasons it, mathematically, should not happen yet did...hard to believe that there would not be some greater influence than what we've been able observe through empirical means...
why is it so mathematically improbable, considering the vastness, nearly infiniteness, of the universe.
