I'm pretty sure the track will be open every weekend up until the CMRA OHR event. I believe the track will be closed the week prior to the race. My son and I will be there Sunday along with a member of his endurance team. There has been a good crowd there every weekend for the last few weeks.

Per the CMRA posting, it looks like OHR will be open on the 9th and the 10th.
Who all plans on going?
If I can get all my work done on the bike, I'll be there.
If not, I may be there with a primer coated bike

I'd love to come out and support you all but I need to get some seat time before the season starts.

I've heard a lot of racers are boycotting the Hill. Because of of safety issues.
I think we should all stick together. Everybody knows that there are more accidents there and more injuries. Not to mention deaths. The only way they are going to fix the track or stop scheduling races there is if we don't go.

Wow, you've "heard" all of that huh? Might want to do some research on that to find out how many have died at TWS (Texas World Speedway), how many Life Flights have gone from various other tracks that some consider "safe". Racing is dangerous, and racers race.

Eric, I may be able to go on the 9th or 10th, I'll have to check with the boss and see if my bike is ready by then too. I've also got to get 3 projects out of the way by then... wanna come over with some sand paper?

You tell me if you can make it on the 9th
I'm planning on giong.

As for coming over with sand paper
You know I'm down.
I've got almost all the work done on the tank and the tail section is ready for primer.

I'm curiuos about the upper and lower, There isn't much damage at all, do I still need to scuff (wet sand this paint prior to laying a new coat?

Yup. Can't paint on the clear coat unless it's scuffed. It should all look "hazy" when you're done.
