am i the only one kind of ticked.

about them giving the debit cards to everyone that signed up. I'm sorry but the able bodied people that are here need to fill the positions of whatever job they can find. be it jack in the box mcdonalds or whatever. i think only the elderly. and people that are working ot looking for work should get that card. I don't know maybe i'm ranting a bit. my apologies.

I freakin hate it ! yeah, I know, they lost everything, but dayum! let them work for their keep! Lett hem clean up their own city for food or vouchers or debit cards. Instead, we will hire companies to do it and still all the while put these people up, pay them, cook for them, feed them and clean up after them! While they lounge around and complain of how horrible they are being treated! GET OFF YOUR COT AND WORK FOR THE FREEBIES YOU LAZY BUMS IRRITATES THE OUT OF ME! I'm all for helping those who help themselves.

Well said my friend. I am personally in favor of a voucher system. For every toilet they clean, meal they serve, so on an so forth, they get a voucher they can redeem for food, clothes, bus rides, whatever. Thier rewarded for the work they have done, not for the work WE have done!!!!

Re: am i the only one kind of ticked.

2000$ is really nothing when you lost everything. Its really to help people maybe buy clothes, get a job, put a deposiot on an apartment, eat, this kind of stuff. I don't doubt that there are those that are getting cash from atms and buying alcohol and drugs. these people do not deserve it. The people who are using the money for the right things honestly deserve more then 2000$

Exactly! Get out there and do something, , no city, no job, , take the small amount of money and maybe look at another city to live in.
Oh Snap! they are, they can live here and we will pay them and feed them and wipe they butts too. Why go anywhere else?

well, depends on what type of hats they are buying.
ex:
If they are big and fuzzy leopard skin fedoras, then, thats a business hat and needed for pimp apparel to do the job correctly.

Re: am i the only one kind of ticked.

^ lol.

i wonder what would happen if a limit was placed on the time they were allowed to receive their benefits? then, just to be fair, time could be extended to those who have found work and are bringing in some sort of income.
