lol I only got 1 run in on my dr650. I had two friends with me that ran on my bike. I had the fastest time out of the 3 runs. I feslt I could have shaved a good half second off in the next couple of runs. First time down the strip was 14.4 and both my buddys did 14.7.

thanks everyone. I feel I could of done much better with a better tire and a better surface, but I made it work. did anyone catch my 60ish mph rolling burn out? that was the highlight of it for me.

and I was doing a coaster and my clutch finger failed me.... it was a replay for the ama super moto stunt show for anyone that saw that crash.

the bike... welll I busted the front brake lines ( good thing I got new steel braides at home. thanks Motorcycles Unlimited!!!) the dirt bike bars feel more like clip ons now, the right side frame slider broke in 2 places... the metal broke... the 1/8 inch steel.. BROKE... the bike flopped hard. , the subframe is worse than it was (good thing I still have the new one, Thanks Motorcycles Unlimited!!!), AND MY FRONT RIM IS FUBAR. time for another tear down and rebuild. new color scheme too.

if someone can get the pics from hrps web page and post them, that would be great.

Had an awesome time ... it was good to meet a few new riders! It was definately a great turnout! there must have been at least 50 bikes in line at one time!
As for me, I improved my best time by a second ... still not as fast as most of the other 600's but I'm getting there little by little. next time hopefully I'll have full leathers, and I'll push it a little more. I barely didnt get kicked off last night. my best run was 11.89 secs @ 119.4 mph. (0.6 mph more and I would have been cut off for the night! )

What are your initial thoughts on the change? Did you find yourself changing any long established riding habits as a result (street and track)? Not much of a fan of the stretched bike look, but certainly understand its purpose at the dragstrip.

I love it for what i'm doing, it actually doesn't ride much different on the street than prior. I just can't corner worth a t! It appears that I'm now going for the gold on the drag thing at this point and seriously making a committment 2 it. So street riding is pretty much out the window for now.

I've been dragging it for so long at stock length, that I'm still going slower than i should trying 2 ride it the same way long, but I'm giving myself til the end of this month to get that bike 2 run what it should. We shall see!
