What about the 135i? Same motor as the 335i. That lil booger is gonna be quick. Will be nice if they release the tii version.

i wear a seat belt in a car because i'm not wearing a protective jacket or helmet like i do on the bike.

and like others said, it probably wouldn't be fun getting tossed around in a car during an accident. i got in an accident once, the vehicle hit hard enough to knock the hat off my head. seatbelt kept me from going through the windshield.

As for a bike, I wouldn't want a seat belt. So you crash and flip around on the bike with no protection. That bike is say no less than 300lbs flipping you end over end and crushing you to death. I would rather take my chances and fly off the bike and away from it if at all possible.

That is sound reasoning. Thinking just cause your bike dont have a seat belt that you shouldnt have to wear one in a car is just not using your noggin. Get smart or die stupid.

BMW hu, should have got a good one. M5 would have been kick

J
Yea For an additional 45 K I would have bought the M5 but i dont Like 5series, i rather get the 6 or the 7 alpina. but thats more $ i dont wish to spend on a car.

i get your point that we use all the gear we can when riding our bike, and then when we get in a car we buckle up or some dont.

I think

The Reply i was Actualy looking for was more Based on FEAR not Comon sense or logic, <That Was why i said past the obvious. Do any riders actualy Fear not wearing a seatbelt On a comon day to day basis, not why we actualy wear them.

I found myself questioning the reason why I BUCKLE UP . I said to myself, (Man I ride a sportsbike) why am i puting on this seat belt in my truck?

it was an odd feeling
Do you wear a leather jacket (or better, pants) while you ride? What about boots, gloves, etc? These are not even mandated by any laws, yet I bet you do some if not all. I will even dare to venture that you do these things for safety, yes? If all this effort is done in the name of safety, why not simply buckle up your seatbelt in your fancy bimmer?
One could also argue that even shutting your door would be an initial step in safegarding your person while driving.

passangers

I get in cars sometimes with friends that never buckle up even in the back!
I THINK Why dont they Fear Flying out of a car. or banging their head or even breaking their neck. Good Friend and Ex girlfriend of mine Got killed just spinning out in the rain without impact. The passanger Flew into the driver and both of them Broke their Neck. Sad But true.

There's your reason for the belt, then.
Kinda makes me wonder why you had to ask, knowing this.

But now they are covered by warranty for the time I would own one anyways. Maybe in a few years

In a car/truck wreck it is safer to be strapped into and protected by the "cage"...while on a bike I would think it would be better to get off and away from all the mangled metal and carnage. Being strapped to a bike while it is sliding/being hurled down the road would be absolute devastation to someone.

Open topic thats All. I wonder who else has had this thought of No fear doin it. But it seems Riding Bikes Make us more concerned for safety than Not.

Point MAde.

Being a rider Does not make People think Agaist being safe even though we constantly ride fast on our Bikes, but Makes us More aware !!

mods can close this one if they want to.

if i had the $$ and time i would Develop a Suit that inflates like an airbag to give the Rider even more protection than the plastics and Leather give you.

like on the Landers that go into Space and stuff. $$$ tho!!!!

Instead of a Dead man Switch why not a one that triggers the suit when Ejected from the bike. Who knows someone out there did this already.
