Why is remote start such a hot commodity on a motorcycle? I don't understand this concept.

I've also heard now that lojack's old stuff is being outdated for new software that the phantom has already had in place for about a year. Plus, that the new updated lojack stuff is more expensive......:/:

Lojacks software is not outdated nor is it being "upgraded".
It doesn't even use the same type of tracking system as the Phantom, which uses GPS, so there's no real comparison.

There is a new Lojack with early warning coming out in the next 2 weeks.

It's basically an alarm integrated within the Lojack system.

The alarm will contact you via phone, e-mail etc. if your bike is being moved.

I don't have full details yet, but the system is projected to be only $100.00 - $150.00 more than the regular system and there's not supposed to be any monthly fees.

I'll have more info mid-next week and will put up a thread when I get it.

Figured you would have some input on this. I've only heard a couple of suggestive things in the last couple of days about the lojack system, but good on ya that there is two sides to the story than just my opinion.....

I have the alarm now. Pretty nice set-up with starter kill, motion sensor, remote page. Worked great, I used it to protect my whole garage. I liked it so much it's in a box to be put in my next street ride.

Very insignificant amperage draw.

i have lo jack early warning on my car. basically what you get (at least with my car) is another keychain that you have to keep with your key. if you car is moved without your key and this other keychain thingy they give you, you will be alerted by either phone, email, text, or whatever else you choose. basically saying, hey your cars been moved, do you know about this, go check it out.
