Get a cbr1000rr. One of the funnest bikes I've ever ridden. The midrange makes city riding fun. The fit and finish is as good as anything else.

Yami Warrior..... I am a little biased but it is a fun powerful bike.... but I can say that I will be investin in a 600cc something in the near future, not that Iam getting rid of the Warrior cause I LOVE it but sometimes I want somthing a little more sporty

Been looking at Fz6's, kicked around thoughts on the versys. I'm not set on anything.

I'm a harley guy, I love the looks of them, dig the brotherhood that comes with them. but that being said, you will get more bike buying yapanese models.
there are some wicked looking cruisers being made now, some of them even have muscle enough to satisfy an occasional yearning for a quick blip.
Although give the hardley dealership a look see, they are putting out some decent rides also, but again, you will pay more with the HD.

Have you considered a Generation 1 (01-05) FZ1? Best all around motorcycle ever built. Awesome support website: http://www.yamahafz1oa.com/index.shtml You can get a really nice one well within your budget. They are fast/comfortable/low maintenance/easy to work on/tons of mods available/etc.

I had an 03 FZ1 the faster custom blk/grey paint combination. Great all around bike with plenty of power to play with SS kids. I would def upgrade the suspension some if I were to do it again though.

Actually yes..along with getting another FZ6. Only thing that 'irks' me with the Z1, is the side can exhaust. :-)

I would think it would be nice to go with a used FZ1 and spend the $$ you may save on some choice mods. Rework the suspension and put put nice bits on it.
