okay, it's getting a little ridiculous now. every thread that opens up gets whored to .

no offense to the post whores of houston, but yall are taking it way outta hand. i say do away with the post count also....it's not doing anything but creating post contests.

i understand it's a public message board, but there should be a place for all the postwhores. maybe their own section where they can chat back and forth or something.

its cool to see informing threads.....but it sucks reading through and filtering out all the useless chatting that goes along with it.

seriously, no offense to you post whores. it's entertaining to read some of the posts once in a while....just not in every thread that hits the "new posts" button

the hard part about that is at what point it becomes an off topic post in a thread. almost everybody at one point has said something in a thread that was off topic to someone regarding some kind of personal matter. that is what makes MH what it is, most everybody knows everyone else. and if you have read the whole thread then sometimes you can see how someone says something, and that gets piggy backed off of and then 10 posts later you think it has nothing to do with the original posts but is completely relevant to an issue with the original post.

understood....however, i have met a majority of you guys/girls on this board, and yall are a great group of people, but there are alot of newer members who stray away from this board because of the post whoring. believe it or not, many people come on motohouston trying to find informative threads about motorcycles, not each other's lives.

i'm not saying there should be NO POSTWHORING allowed....just saying it should be somewhat under control.

like arturo said, i think it is for the most part under the off topic section. if you click new posts it shows up, but if you are not registered then you have no new posts button and you have to click -forums home->moto related. they never see the off topic unless they choose to go there

maybe remove the off topic threads from the "new posts" area, so people who dont feel like filtering through the BS don't have to.

just an idea

werd. we cleared that up like mid last year. its not the postwhores that out the "real" threds, its the guys that normally don't pw, but just start "chasing rabbits" in the general discussions. that mess up.

the pw's know the place to pw, and know the places not to. granted there will always be some new guys that will need to be lined out, but that's a given.

post counts seems to inversely proportional to size here.

that and too many kiddoes with co-signers.
