Yeah that the Y2K, Jay Leno has one, if I can find the video I'll post it where he states some guy kept getting close to the rear of the bike even with his attempts to scoot up, and ended up melting the front bumper due to the amout of heat generated from the turbines exhaust. lol

quarter in 12 seconds, remaining mile in an additional 1.8 seconds.

magazine did a high-speed run and after 250mph was getting loose so they cut it off.

has a two second delay in accelerating after rolling; 4-8 second delay when cutting off to brake

The company that makes them (Marine Turbine Technology) is located Franklin, Louisiana. When I was still in school at LSU the owner brought one to an ASME meeting and rode it around the parking lot. It doesn't look as ugly in person and it sounds incredible. Better watch out for putting skin near the exhaust.

I saw it last night on National Explorer Channel. Some show about fast bikes.

The guy that invented it is CRAZY.

He was riding around with tennis shoes, a t-shirt and no gloves. And he did a bunch of high speed passes!

It theoretically doesn't have a limit until air pressure holds the bike back or you parachute off.

More air pushed out, forced in, more air pushed out, more air forced in... that's why the quarter is slow and the remainder of the MILE is just over a second. You wouldnt hear yourself yell fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu..................k

I've visited the production facility and talked at length to the guy who designed and built the bikes. Crazy stuff. Built a S-10 surbine for Leno who got in trouble for melting paint at a car meet when he revved it and turned on the "fire show" from his vertical exhausts.
