I think that's a good option; besides I hear he knows the busa quite well.
I can drop a few more down on this beast after accident repairs and needless add-ons I should be done for a while until its paid off and I start thinkin silly like turbos etc...Lord help me that day....

Look up a few posts!

He's in the Heights, price is dependent on what you want and how many pulls have to be done (bank on a couple hundred or so?).

Best time to have him do it is to call him during the week (like today) and bring it to him on a Saturday. He'll ask you what you want to get out of your bike and what you wish to accomplish, and you'll get exactly what you want (with a little education on tuning as well).

Takes an hour or more in some cases.

Call him today and see if he can get you in Saturday. Tell him I sent you, he'll take on about $400, but it'll be worth it! I kid, I kid...

He'll probably be able to run both bikes in one day.

If you want to go turbo, let me know, I might be selling my kit and buying a stg 2 kit since I am building my motor for 450+hp.....My little kit is maxed out at 320hp....it will all be fresh when I sell it. I just had the turbo rebuilt this week.

I need to hold off and pay off the mercedes first; just bought it in feb and wanna see it paid off at end of this year.

I'll keep ur knowledge on hand and even if you sell yours, I may contract you for information and experience on my build

I did see you're bike at a southside meet and greet; I came w jloleo as passenger(she wore the corona jacket of mine-really cold night) at BW3s a while bike... No one gives you trouble with the sound of your bike on the street?

No, its really not that loud, its really only loud at idle and SLIGHTLY past idle, as the turbo starts spinning, it really quiets the bike down......I guarantee your Muzzy is louder then mine at anything over 30mph... Higher you rev it, the more the turbo whistles, the less exhaust noise you get...its pretty cool really. Check my "Pistons" thread here for some info on turbos....

That's the same thing I was told... If that's all you have (a slip-on), then just search forums, etc. to find a download map that most peeps with the same bike/slip-on set-up believe to be the best overall, and see if it works for yours.

Actually I wouldn't even do that....you can mess up more then help, ask Bluewave18, he brought his 600 over to me cause it was running like , all he had was a slip on. We pulled off his PCIII with some generic map and the bike ran perfect.

This doesn't hold true for every make/model but 90% of fuel injected sportbikes run rich at all throttle%s and rpm ranges from the factory, this helps keep them running smooth, gives them smooth transitions and helps keep them safe when idiots are banging them off the limiter or running 87 octane gas, then going and topping them out in 6th gear. Usually a slip on or air filter makes such a MINOR difference in AFR, its barely even detected by the sniffer, if it is, its leaning out an overly rich mixture, thats why some bikes show a slight HP gain by just bolting on a slip on or filter. Usually the bikes are still rich as everywhere which is fine. I always recommend tuning a bike if you are installing a full race exhaust system but even then, most of the time you are pulling fuel out up top to get the AFR in the 12.8-13.0 range which is "usually" where peak HP and tq is made. I bolted the akro full system on my 1000 and the bike ran perfect with no tune. It gained 10hp before tuning but did have a few small dips in power down low and in the mid. AFter the tune, I gained a lot in the low and and at part throttle% but peak HP and tq only gained 1-2hp from the custom map, that was because the factory tune was so rich to start with, the full system leaned it out just enough....This will not be the case on every bike though.....Basically, if you have a full system, get it mapped, if only a slip on or filter or both.....save your money and don't even buy a PCIII.....not to say a custom map will not give you a couple more HP and possibly more in the part throttle, its just its not worth the $600 you will spend on the PCIII and tuning IMOP.

Yeah I hear ya....but if you don't get greedy or do stupid (like I did) you won't have to go into the engine. I put the kit on 3yrs ago and 10k miles ago and this is the first mishap I have had with it and I have raced the out of it, dynoed the out of it etc.....just this time I was trying to top it out and I was on 93 oct pump gas which is a no no with a turbo...especially for as much boost as I was running.

If you just bolted a stg 1 kit on your bike, completely stock motor, set the boost at 6-7lbs, got it custom mapped and had no boost creep, you will be fine. It will make 230-250hp on pump gas. I still wouldn't try to top it out on pump gas though. throw in a little race gas when you know you will be repeatedly be beating on it hard. You will be fine. I was at 12lbs of boost when mine melted.

reassures me; I work for BMW as a master and some of the things these people do just make me shake my head...

I'm back on board for getting a turbo now...

Bummer, yeah, he's going out of town until the 15th. His tech will be there, but he doesn't do the dyno tuning.

He'll be there when you're ready next week or after the 16th fer sher.

I would like to comment on Andy @ Metric. If you only go over there to talk to him, your decision will be made. This dude is mad. He is so meticulous, and strangely gives a rats about customer satisfaction. In conversing with him one time, I knew I found my guy (anyone whom has delt with "scootertrash" knows the type). He did exactly what I wanted with my map.
I would recommend him to anyone who cares about the finer details.
I don't like to talk money on an open forum, but he did hook me up (not that it was cheap).
