No shiatt! We left at 11 from Magnolia and rode up throught the forest to Huntsville and stopped at my house to thaw out and grab a drink before heading back the way ya'll went. On a side note, there was a decent number of sportbikes(and some cruisers) stopped along 149 just as you get into the forest on our way back(around 2 maybe?) that wouldn't happen to have been ya'll would it? They were stopped right b/t 2 sharp turns kinda stickin' out in the road, I thought someone might have went down but they just seemed to be lounging.

No sir we were on 362 by that time plus I know better than to stop on the side of 149 with all those big dually's and ppl hauling a$$ through there.

Should msg'd me. I got home early and still wanted to ride some.

they may have been waiting around for me... I went strictly 70mph. The guys had to wait for 5-10 minutes for me at every stop sign.

Good for you, don't you hate when people post a pace then totally disregard it? "Pace: Speed Limit!!!!! This is not the track people. " Oh well

For the most part the leader stayed to his pace. He let a few go ahead cause we wanted to go a bit faster. So he stayed back and we waited. I guarantee is wasnt for 5-10 min though maybe 2 min.

ok guys, dont worry. by no means i was complaining and no i didn't hate

When ur riding a sweeper (as I was) if the bikes are too far ahead of you - u are breathing clean air. When ur right in the of 3 liter bikes the air smells like burnt gasoline. So no i didn't mind at all! Besides we all stuck together and fast guys waited for slower one(s).

As for the posted speed limit - well actually the original intention of that was to discourage >100mph riders that apparently also exist amongst us (not that i hate them - I just dont share their views) from joining the ride. That's how it was explained to me and it made sense to me and was satisfactory.

Its not that we were hauling a$$ on the straights(boring!). Its just that we didnt slow down for the corners.

I probably should have explained the pace better. I figure by the description I gave it would keep away the riders wanting to go 100+ the entire way. One of the rides I posted in the past where I listed pace as 'speed limit', we still had guys showing up in full leathers wanting to do 100+ the entire way. My group rides are boring for those people.

I'm not the most experienced rider, I understand that some people want to ride faster than I might. I told everyone in the group if they wanted to ride faster then what I was riding to go ahead and just stop at the next stop for everyone to get collected again.

As for our actual pace - it was mostly the posted limit with a few sprints here and there. The cornering is where we pulled away from Alex the most, due to him having to slow down way more than us. We didn't wait more than 2-3 minutes max and I have absolutely no problem waiting at each stop/turn/etc.

I'd ride with all you guys again.

Sunday Ride

Brandon Thanks for setting up the ride and leading. I am sorry I cut off early but I wanted to ride a little more and I was not ready for lunch.
Thanks again

sounds like it was alot of fun. I wish I could have made it. Judging from the pics it looks like there was a S2000 meet as well??

anyways, hopefully the weather will stay dry and you guys can set up another one!

No worries, I was concerned at first when I looked back and didn't see you but Alex gave me the 'ok' sign and we continued and talked about it when we stopped. I wasn't aware or else we could have adjusted a bit to ride more before eating. I wanted to get there before or at 12 because the bikers tend to pile in after that. We got there and there were maybe 20 bikes at the most. When we were done eating you can see in the picture there were probably more than 60 bikes there.

Yeah there was a slew of s2000's there when we arrived. Mark said they like to drive wild and crazy through the forest as well. I think I will post a few more and see if there's any repeat interest.
