It'd look kind of goofy walking around with padded jacket and no bike...

Well, I've been riding street since '84. I don't need to be a "poser" at this age, but if that's what you guys with the hatin' attitude want to think, then go right ahead if it makes you happy. :/:

I will say that my current jacket is all black too, except for a gunmetal grey stripe across the center (basicly a classic style). The elbow and shoulder pads, I don't even notice. When I cage it, or I am without the bike, I take the back protector out, though.

If I had a red, green, blue, or billboard jacket, then I probably wouldn't be wearing those, but then I never really liked any leather jacket except black. I've always worn my motorcycle jackets since the ones I've had were my primary jackets at the time I had them. So it's more out of habit, but then most of my past jackets had been classic black motorcycle jackets.

I rode to work one day in short sleeves and my Leather Joe Rocket jacket, For lunch it was raining so I rode with some co workers to lunch and froze my off because I would not were my huge leather jacket with big pads if I was not on the bike.

I hate wearing my jacket into places. I feel gay wearing my jacket and carring my helmet and gloves into a bar or store. I alwayz thought it looked gay when i saw others do it and i know it looks gay when i do it. I feel safer on the bike when i'm wearing bright colors but as soon as i hop off i wish i could leave my gear with the bike. But this is Houston and people will pour drinks in ur helmet just to be a d**k.
