Opinions on Daytona 675

For a track bike how does the 675 stack up. Anyone run one on a track, and how do they hold up against its competition from japan.

if you want a training bike....then martin is right (bigcomfy). The SV650 will teach you to ride.....and not use the power of a bike as a crutch.

I also, went from a 600 to a 1000cc bike.....and BACK to a 600cc

I'll check out the SV, but I'm never intending on going bigger than 700, even 750 seems like too much for me.

the 675 is gonna be a bit trickier to ride than the sixhundo's because of the torque of the triple. Its gonna want to break the rear tire loose coming out of corners on throttle and downshifting can be trickie also. lots of engine brake. If you take it easy you can learn it. I would suggest maybe an sv650 to learn on first. Cheaper too. My.02

...you could have made yourself so much faster...

if you weren't hung over everytime you rode dirt. It would transfer over to street really well too.
