Fiddy question - billet shock mount?

Ok i've been slowly modding my xr50 with a big mini setup, so i bought red baron bar kit, sp-5's, +4 swinger. I ran into a problem finding a billet shock mount that houses a vertical shock. I searched and read 3 options.
1. Spend $400-1,000.00 for a chromoly frame
2. Bolt-on modified shock mount
3. Fab and weld shock mount tabs to stock frame

My riding style will be for street and tooling around on trails w/ some sweet jumps. I know some of these mx guys pour money into there mini's for top of the line mods, but for what im doing it wouldnt be worth the cost.

So my question is is there a fairly inexpensive fix for setting up a vert. shock to a stock frame?

seat is holding up the shock for now. Chopper style.

i would say option 2 or 3. but ill let josh chime in on this he will know a bit more

also stunt-r had a bike with a modified frame to run a mono swinger/shock setup like that. had a welded on tab

with that setup, i think you might want to invest in a bigger motor too

I was think of going the tab route. I just need to get specs on tabs so i could get someone to weld it one. If he actually did the footwork on that then i might need to talk with him.

No doubt my mini is far from completion. I have big bore ideas that are in queue. there is a long list of things i need, but one at a time.

give these guys a call they will probably sell you the shock mount separatly, you should have bought the whole kit from them.

If you are a fab/welder, you need to fab a backbone for the stock frame, it will more than likely fail.

braket you need is in the middle:

i just called and they are actually out of stock on the kits for 2-3 weeks. but SGR said that they do sell separate $75.00. Even though some guys say that bolt-on stuff is garbage i dont think that i'll be doing any 15 foot table tops.

weld it on. Once you get the mount, bring the bike to my house, we'll weld that bracket on, and fab/weld a backbone for the stock frame.

this may be a better deal for you, call Jerimia and ask him if the sp5 stem bolt is long enough for this frame. with this frame you can kill any jump you want.

just buy the frame, easy, no fab, all bolt-up. the whole frame is only $54.00 more than the shock mount.
