Good point. As I stated, I'm mostly poking fun.

However I do think that BOTH the legal and medical professions in this country are well overdue for an overhaul.

Do you agree?

Rick, I have seen a whole lot of whining but no actual debate to this point...

Certainly, I don't want it to turn into free healthcare either but there is definately a need for change. As far as the legal field, yeah it could use some adjustment, but I don't see anything happening anytime soon. And if I was given the power to do what I want with the legal field I definately would not be starting with the lawyers.

I do agree but I think the price of one is the direct reflection of the abuse of another... People are " Sue " crazy these day... so the doctors have to charge more to pay for the A-holes that want to sue them for the slightest bs... its a cycle as most things in life are...

It actually needs to start with judges who just need to laugh most cases out of the court room.

I'm in agreement with you as far as "free medical", I don't think it's a good or workable solution.

However removing some of the costs currently associated with the medical field might help to bring it into a more manageable expense.

Things like caps on malpractice claims and not simplifying health insurance billing would help.

I just subjected myself to all the whining twice now, and to accomplish what? I still don't see any actual arguments. The only post where I see any fact/OPINION here is the first post where you wish to have lawyers and doctors overcharged for things. Everything after that only showed your animosity towards both professions.

As far as the current legal profession / state of law as it stands, in most of my recent experiences with them, it's been a farce.
Unfortunately the majority of our "law makers" / elected officials are lawyers, so I don't see them changing anything that would affect their pocket book anytime soon.

Truly in the end, the root of the greatest evil in both professions is the insurance industry.

Exactly how I feel. I think the "small" things like that would definately be a big change for the better in our current system. But those are not things that are direct causes of the doctors themselves. I don't think we'll see any real decrease in doctor's actual salaries, but if they have to pay less for insurance, etc it may help lower the cost to us. I also agree that what doctors charge to the insurance companies for simple procedures(check ups, anesthesia, etc) is insane. I hope all this makes sense, I'm trying to watch "Death Sentence" as I type

With a point that they are greedy and they themselves would not want to be treated in the same manner. If they were they would charge more to the igmos subject to them.
Clarify anything for you?
Keep going? Not today, keeping it short and simple.
