Nevermind then. I know RandomHero on the board has a pair of Gaerne boots, though I don't know what model. Maybe try PM'ing him and asking. Looking at the reviews on KD.com they look to be pretty good. I doubt you'll find many people with these boots though. Might just wanna go check out some other online sites and read the reviews there as well.

I have the Gaerne G-Ride Smart boots. They are comfortable and appear to have good protection. They are easy to get in and out of. No complaints so far.

sidi's also have the rotating clicker thing for easy adjustment. and almost every part of the sidi boot is replaceable. great protection as well.

i owned a*'s smx plus before...didn't really like them, they were a bit bulky and stitching started to come loose after only a few trackdays.

as for gaerne boots, i have no experience with these.

I have A-stars SMX, Guerne, and AGV boots. The A-stars get the call everytime..................A-star FTW, but the Guernes are more affordable, and still a good boot.

+1 be sure to carry some chain lube around as the SMX squeek a bit.

If ya don't mind a used boot I MAY sell my SMX's in almost new condition. All black, size 11 I think. I need to check my account, and factor in everything I need to buy pretty soon. If I can swing Ralphs boots, and you want mine, you can have them for $125.
