anyone scuba dive

ive been wanting to learn for awhile. dont even know where to start at.
and id want to get all the certs to be able to go down on my own(with partner/friend) instead of instructor or whatever.

is there anything around houston that will get you the practice and certification you need?

and at what depths do you have to start getting into the decompression stuff so you dont get the bends?(thats what its called correct?)

Any Scuba shop will know where you can get certified.
You can get decompression sickness at shallower depths if you say down long enough and come up to fast. They'll teach you all that in class.

i been certified since 2003. Got my cert in sea sports scuba. It is cheap and they teach you some basic things that could save your life
Kinda like MSF.

In texas you can dive the rigs. They are nice. Unfortunately if you dont have your own boat its too expensive to hire someone to take you there.

I also dove in Florida, Puerto Rico, and some other freshwater spots here and there. A buddy of mine was in charge of a private spring fed lake in pearland so I dove there a lot too.
