Galveston Bike Rally

Hey Everyone,

Not to sure who all is interested in this, but there will be a bike rally down in Galveston, Tx from Sept. 29- Oct. 2, 2005. I am trying to get a fell for who all is heading down to this. Perhaps we could all rally at some point and have a big gang of people come rolling up into Galveston, players style. :wav: The website for information is http://www.lonestarrally.com/ check it out for more details. I know I am down for this, just wanting to get an advance start to see who is up for this party. 4: Lets get this thing going big time. I am making a trip in from school for this so lets do it big time.

Re: Galveston Bike Rally

ive gone the last three years. the last one i caged. its pretty lame unless you are looking to buy a cruiser. aprilla and ducati was there a few years ago and offered free test drives of certain lower end models.

i wouldnt recommend doing a ride over there since there wont be any parking spots and the cops always seem to target the SS bikes. i dont know why :dontknow:

Re: Galveston Bike Rally

I just checked out the web page and it don't look like this is for sportbikes - reminds me of the Myrtle Beach Bike Week held every May - that has pretty much one demographic - non-sportbike rdrs and not very welcoming in my opinion.

BUt, if a 'big' group of riders are down w/ riding out. I'm down - just name the meeting spot and time. Peace.

Re: Galveston Bike Rally

I am down to go just say when and where.* The cost to ride up and down the strand is only $5 according to the rally website...I went last year and there were a bunch of cruisers but a fair share of Sportbikes.

Re: Galveston Bike Rally

im going, rode my bike last year, we got a hotel room. we had a good time.

Ill prolly drive down there this time.

The $20 is ONLY IF YOU WANNA RIDE DOWN THE STRAND, I dont see why people want to ride down there anyhow, its too packed. Alot of fun, alot of walking, lots to see and eat.
