It is good to hear you and the bike made it with only minor damage. I hope you can get your bike running again in no time.
Because of drivers like the one in this case, I always maintain a good distance and constantly monitor the brake lights of the vehicle in the front when traveling above 30mph.

Good idea, but in this case the car came out across lanes I believe. People need to really be careful out there. I'm about to go run some errands on my bike and I just read this thread.

I went to the hospital around 10 ish, the doc looked me over, did some x rays and a catscan.

turns out, I broke 2 ribs and I have a hairline fracture on my pelvis.

I got home around 4 a.m and I just woke up, I'm still quite drugged up but hopefully I wake up fully soon.

Man, 2 ribs and a hairline pelvis fracture. Keep those meds coming and feel better soon!

BTW, I had a car lock up his tires when he was pulling out of a gas station and he didn't see me turning right. I saw what he was about to do in time to slow down and calmly stop in case he proceeded to come on out into my lane. It's nice when you're able to correctly predict idiots doing idiotic things and avoid them.

Not a hijack, just thought I'd share. Glad your melon is fine!
