Well.. I went down.

Went down today on my way to the bank...

Cruising down the road near my APT. at around 45 MPH, and a Altima pulled right out in front of me. The car NEVER even slowed down before it pulled out!

I managed not to lock it up, but it was to late and my reflex's took over. I jumped to the right trying to avoid the car, hit gravel and the bike came out from under me. I hit the rear quarter panel of the car with my head, and the bike went off the road.

Knocked me smooth out! I have not been knocked out like that in awhile!!!! I came around to a few witnesses, being dramatic of course! I picked up my bike and it was out oil from the stator cover. Thats really the only major issue other then rash..

I suffered a rung bell, some mild rash on my knee, a broken index finger and hurt pride.. Im working on getting the bike to Motorcycles Unlimited, I have a new stator cover but need the gasket.. The thing that absolutely sucks about it, is my bike is my only mode of transportation! :(

Sorry to hear about your accident. Knocked out? Wow. That can't be good. I'm guessing you were 1 up, and your gf was at home? Let me know if you need a trailer to haul it to Patrick.

Well, I do get on the freeway often... and I doubt I can keep up with the flow of traffic... and the blinkers are distracting..

Glad to see you're OK. I hope you have full coverage becuzz even though the damage looks minor just wait till you go to replace the parts. It adds up very quickly.

I hope the driver of the altima felt like . I hate these people that think every motorcycle accident is the rider's fault. Good thing you're ok, dude. did you get your finger patched up? Also, you might want to watch out for signs of worsening concussion....what time did the accident happen?

No, they stopped. They felt horrible. It was a gay guy, so it was dramatic.

If the Altima owner hung around and had insurance, you way want to contact their insurance company and see if they'll provide you with a rental car until your bike is repaired.
