1999/2k SE busa?

http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/543679789.html

This Fast New looking bike is the top of the line! Its top speed is 220 and this bike has no governer. It is maroon-red, clean title, never dropped, kept in the garage, speacial edition made only in 1999 and 2000. This bike is in perfect shape with a few updates, comes with cover and other accessories.

"Special Edition 1999/2k"

"Top Speed 220"

..I could easily be wrong, but this is BS is it not?

all early busas were not governed - true. it is not capable of 220 in stock form. judging by the stock cans there aren't enough mods on the bike to break 200. not special edition

SEs did not come out until 02. Its just a plain jane 2000 busa. They came in red/grey. You shouldn't pay more then $5500 for that bike......he is CRAZY at $7700....

Stock busas will go from 188-192mph stock with the right conditions, lightweight, skilled rider; and a long enough, smooth road. 99-00s are not speed limited and have the 220mph speedo....You can get the speedo to hit 210mph indicated as its roughly 10% fast...

stock are dual cans... if you see a single exhaust busa it is aftermarket.

Cycleworld Magazine wanted to see if a stock busa could break 200....they managed to break it and hit 203mph with radar indication. But that was all that they could get out of it. It took quite a few runs to get it there.
