if you had some experience, i'd let you ride my 426...yes I know it is 274cc smaller than what you want, but it will turn your shorts to a dark brown muck really quick.

do as everyone else says...start off slow.

How old are you?

Your profile shows you are working for Cycle Gear? And you are asking about bikes?

That 700 will be hard to live with if you are starting out.
The 600 will eat your lunch if you not careful.
You might not have a good idea what the SS bikes are capable of, but these ain't toyz!!!
I just went out and bought it. Brand new and frack'n fast!! Couple of close calls later and it has my respect now.

You'll see what I mean soon enough...

Race X is right... DID I JUST FRACK'N TYPE THAT??!!

Watch your azz bro!

That is probably the best advice. I wish I had started out on a dirtbike. I've been messing around on the xr100 after I already rode big bikes and it has been the most fun and greatest confidence builder!

I looked at all the big bikes when I started but ended up getting a Ninja 500R. It's VERY forgiving especially for a NOOB!! After 4k miles I am still learning and able to keep with with the big bikes in the twisties just fine. So good luck with whatever you get but it's always easiler to upgrade later when you are ready.
