I'm not suggesting that is the most effective way. Those guys are just trying to look cool...i think. Look at some of the pictures you posted, those guys have a cheek off. And as I said, they are tiny guys. I'm 6'2" 245lbs, I can't keep both cheeks on the bike and hit those angles. The bikes center of gravity will be so off, or else of course I'm hitting some major speeds going around some corners......triple digit speeds (i don't do that!!!).

Bottm Line: To each his own. Everyone has a technique that they're are comfortable with that makes them faster.

07+ cbr 600RR. You ride this once, you wouldn't on a gixxer or r6 in flames.

What zona posted and what you posted were two TOTALLY different things. One's showing off (ie stunt wheelies). One's getting my around a track as fast as possible (ie Moto GP). A similar comparison would be Kane vs Ben Spies doing wheelies. One is under power, while the other is purposeful one wheeled fun.

I started to realize that after a while, however, I was just pointing out how silly these guys looked while reaching. To me, it's one thing to show off, while actually accomplishing some ala going so fast that you have to get the bike low enough to the ground to continue your desired path of travel and quite another to do it under the guise of needing to ala as I said before, bike nearly vertical but rider hanging off the side of it like some untrained monkey...

Example:
obviously he is in a parking lot and therefore cannot get to speeds necessary for proper body position but c'mon, this looks stupid right?
russellຈon20sv20knee20down20enchanced

To me it just looks retarded, showing off to me IS, essentially, a guy like Kane doing it (wheelieing) whilst sitting on the tank AND Spies doing it at speed because he just won the AMA Championship. Retardation is doing a wheelie midway through a race on the first stretch of straight road...to me, if you are reaching out to the ground in some expansive way- a way obviously at greater strain to yourself than should be- then you look retarded but as Zona said before, if it looks good to you then enjoy...it just looks flat retarded to me...

Now we're speaking the same lingo Cajun. While you don't like it, maybe some others do (I think it's all right, but nothing to write mom about). I just wanted to clear the air about the two different scenarios.
