retail on this model is $6665.00. and by todays standards in motorcycles this is a dinosaur. not everything has to be high priced to be legit. the craiglist says seabrook... there is money out there and maybe this dude just wants it gone. P.S. you will NEVER get all the extra money for add ons. that is why most people put bikes bike to stock form and sell the goodies off seperatly if they want all the money they put into it back.

This bike can still haul man. 748's all done up handle like nothing else

well in general I am talking about technology difference between 748 and 848 in regards to resale. the older duc have reliability issues and I would bet next to impossible to get parts for. new ducs seem to be more reliable (relatively speaking) so from that stand point the 748 is a dinosaur.

With 8 years difference that is pretty much a given. I would love to have one of each. The new 848 is one fine piece of equipment. The wife saw pics of the white version and immediately said to go buy one. If only I could figure out how to make the payments once I got it home.
