its an '01 sunfire, 160k miles, no A/C. My wife keeps trying to talk me into buying a new one (this was hers till I bought her the Z71) but I won't do it. It is getting 28mpg and I plan on running the wheels off it. I don't want to put the miles on something newer, but the time is coming. Think I'm goign with a diesel truck soon.

Not all people with great credit pay cash. I am in the 700s and I financed. I have more than enough to buy it outright cash but I got it with 0% financing. I continue earning interest on my money and use the interest to pay for the vehicle. How's that for smart money Ed?

Except for 0% financing is the best. That way you are using other peoples money while yours is still making at least 5%.

he said "IN-HOUSE" that means they don't offer it themselves. That is MOST small dealerships. Not many actually do finance in house. But they will have partners they will refer you to.

that's why i don't have any big vehicles any more. but i still wish I had a truck sometimes, like when I try to cram a big flat screen in the back of an accord.

Don't feel pregnant dude. I had a guy call my branch, a forklift sales and service operation and ask me;
"are ya'll hiring forklift drivers"
me "for what"
"to drive them forklifts around"
me "you mean drive the forklifts we SELL around the property"?
"yeah"
me "no. but if you have a drivers license the car dealership up the street might hire you to drive around their lot".
end of conversation. grrrrrrrr, like I'm going to hire this guy to do anything at all. last guy I hired as a make-ready couldn't/wouldn't read the side of the trucks when asked.

we brought home a 50" in the back on small NISSAN p/u, and i bet it;d fit in the back of our maz hatchback.

wife brought home a dresser in it, 3 drawers tall and 2 across. good sized, i was amazed that it fit.

unless your truck is a work truck or your constantly towing boats/bikes/trailer it's a waste.

I want to get there, but ???, guess you have to have the right combination of loans and balances or what ever. Cause paying your bills will not necessarly get you there.
