I am spending a lot of money on the rebuild, I will really be leary about running it through the mile now....LOL...If it was intercooled it would be different but...
Yeah I try and plant my seed where I can hahaha I havent been on here to long I got on here couse I had to spend 3 weeks in houston at school and just wanted to meet up with some guys but never did so just kinda stayed lol .....

Well I dont know all or much but I know alittle about turbos But whats stopping ya from going intercooled I know ya have to rake the frame or get the raked triples for the room i believe but I know its also alot more money and work but Just the thought of it running cooler for ya......

Now with tommy going with the ULTRA kit I want to see what his times are going to be I am hoping for the 230 to the 240 range What do ya think ?

Yeah whats stopping me from going to a stg 2 kit with secondary injectors and air to air intercooler is the $7k for the kit.... I am building my motor now(see my "Pistons" thread here in GD.) and it will support 400-450hp after I am done with it....Maybe next year I can go stg 2.

I figure Tommy can probably go 220-225mph in the Mile with the Ultra. He will have plenty of power, its putting it all down within 1 mile thats hard....I mean he will make 550+hp with the Ultra, I am sure he could go anywhere from 240-260mph if he had room to top it out(2-3 miles maybe) but getting it all done within 1 mile is a whole other ball game.

Maybe I will see you down in Goliad this year.

[QUOTE=Whorenet;957993]see, that actually does sound like fun to me! and p.s. this year theyre letting people "spectate" from the side of the runway up until the 3/4 mile marker from what i read.....now thats fun!

Yah, its pretty bad-a$$... but even liter-bikes look slow out there! You've got 'vettes, vipers, subarus, zx-14's, busas, and whatever else running 200, 220, some even 240 in the mile!

Sitting at the 3/4 mark is the best place... you see 'em at almost full speed.

Myself and several others will be going again, as usual!

wouldn't do much more than 2 down in the back... a mile really isn't that long to be running super-tall gears.

i am running the quick acceleration kit (520 chain, front and rear sprocket) i think my rear is stock geared and my front is 1 down. is that fine? or should i get a different front? other mods by then will be marsh wheels, full exhaust, pc tuned, v stacks, gp shift rearsets, vortex clipons adjusted to be tucked in more (less drag) homemade deadmans switch. anything that i am forgetting? or will need? how about a speed shifter? am i also correct in assuming that i can run the 599 class with an 03 r6?

I would not gear a 600 any taller then stock....I doubt they would pull to the limiter in 6th within a mile with stock gearings, much less taller gearing.... A mile is not near as long as you think it will be.....I bet I couldn't top out my 155rwhp 1000 with +2 on the rear within a mile......I recently had it to 165mph on the gps and I was almost topped out in 5th and it took me almost 3/4 of a mile to do that....

Sounds like a friggin BLAST. I won't be ready by the end of March, need a ramp, leathers, etc. But definitely want to make the one in October. Question though, how much? I could find the dollar amount anywhere on the website other than for the spectators.
