I'm down.
I plan on getting a Busa in the next couple of years. Maybe I can see what it means to join the 200 Club out there.

Yeah stock busas are a blast but it will take mods to hit 200mph. It will take a LOT of mods to hit 200mph in a standing mile....Most stock busas are barely breaking 180mph in the 1 mile race.

Thats one thing people don't understand about the Texas Mile, its like a drag race, only longer.....it takes a lot of power, prep and setup to top one out in 1 mile....normally when people top bikes out, they have 2-3 miles....

Still a blast though to race and watch...Its long ride though, Goliad is about 3hrs south of Houston.

That's interesting. I heard they do it easily once you bypass the timing restriction from the factory.
I would have guess that considering the displacement. I would have been wrong if they have to be modified heavily.
I wonder what they need, I will have to Google this evening and find out.

big bore kit or stage 1 turbo. once again the key word here is the texas MILE... bypass the restrictor and a stock busa will hit 190 to 194 in a few miles but to hit 200 in a MILE more HP is needed.

I would be interested in getting a group together to ride down to Goliad to spectate.....it would be a fun bike trip.. Maybe we could set that up for the March event. All my buddies race the Mile, it would be a blast to watch.
You know TOM has been saying every time where there no alan is not making it lol and russ is like dam wish he would come out lol

Hey whats up NATE, long time no hear......I didn't know you hung out here to.... yeah Tommy, Russ and Karl have been nagging me for 2 yrs to run the mile and I was always concerned about a melt down since I had no water injection, no intercooler etc...

I am spending a lot of money on the rebuild, I will really be leary about running it through the mile now....LOL...If it was intercooled it would be different but...
