TMGP Update for 2008

TMGP website is updated. A few key facts:

1. The classes are now the same as CMRA for endurance. Formula 5, 6, and 7. All based on engine displacement and 2 or 4 stroke. Should even things out for four strokes versus two.

From the website:

Class Structure

Supersport
- YSR50 with any Pipe or Carb modifications, any production 4-stroke upto 110cc

Formula 7
- see CMRA rules for F7

Formula 6
- see CMRA rules for F6

Formula 5
- see CMRA rules for F5

Unlimited
- Upto 85cc 2-stroke, upto 150cc 4-stroke - The CRF150R may be removed from class

Motard
- same as Unlimited in dirt bikes frames without knobbies

Jr. Motard
- CMRA Jr. Motard rules with minor changes to build the class, ask me

PocketBike
- TBD - age 13 and over

SuperPocketBike
- TBD - age 16 and over

Unlimited PocketBike
- TBD - age 16 with approval and over

Endurance Race classes

Formula 7 - Novice and Expert

Sprint Classes - SUBJECT TO CHANGE - SEE ABOVE

SuperSport
SuperSport rules

Scooter

2. Katy track is repaved and is supposedly very flat and well done this time around. New turns were added last year so it is much more entertaining.

I guess i should clarify......I have been told the first race is March 8-9. I have not seen it in print at the TMGP website, but it is not a kart weekend.

CMRA uses the sliding rule of position. Haven't heard TMGP to.
