Re: Texas World Speedway Labor Day 9/5/05

nah, i m good man, nothing at all. i had slowed down pretty much bfr the fall, so doesnt need too many parts either. frame slider broke..and the broken headlight glass.. whichc sucks more, becuase that means replacing the whole headlight thing!!!
i might hv almost managed without falling down, but some small ditches there got me.. but..now when i m thinking.. i think i was also braking.. which is pure stupid of me. bcos i shld hhv just let the bike go and shld hv just kept holding the handle bar tight!!!anyway..there always r IFs and BUTs later on....

When you get off in the dirt definetly stay off the brakes unless you have to hit them because you are headed to the trees or something. right:

Re: Texas World Speedway Labor Day 9/5/05

I think that's what saved me from going down in turn 12 and 13. After I jumped that corner, I just held on to the bars and tried to keep them straight without touching the brakes. I even applied power and rode out of it through the grass and dirt.

Re: Texas World Speedway Labor Day 9/5/05

TOO many people on the track for ridesmart! i dont think there are too many for the LSTD crew though.. Ride Smart does let alot of riders on at the same time.. IMO

meh... i only got stuffed on average about once per session... (i think some of those guys are practicing that)...* :eh:

just as long as you can hold your line 99% of the time you'll be fine... just be ready for that 1% when you've got one of those type A hardcore guys stuffing you on the inside and be able to change your line midcorner if you have to...

riding in 4 is the only way to go w/Ride Smart... too much msf type stuff going on in the other levels (no offense)...*

Level 4 is about LSTD B group pace.... and you miss all the class room drama if you just want to ride for a day. I am sure you will pass a few guys and get passed a few times... no big deal. right:

Oh, the pics look great! Wish I could of made it out but.... anyways, looks like a couple of you may want to work on body position. That will help you get through the corners a little better. right:

Re: Texas World Speedway Labor Day 9/5/05

I was in Level 2 and I didn't have any problems. I was occationally passed and I passed fairly often. But I didn't notice any problems with the number of riders out there. Once in a while I would get a completely open track down the back straight.

I'm sure I'll go to Level 3 next time for RideSmart.

Hey Capa you have a good looking lean in those pics!
