well we are sitting here waiting for them to take him back. He seems calm as can be but I think I am going to be sick. Haha He is 13 and in 8th grade. He is tough, tougher than me right about now.

I have had 3 knee surgeries and I just hate that he is following right along in my footsteps. I still am way ahead though. He'll by the time I ws jos age I has 2 surgeries and 14 trips to the hospital for stitches. I have no idea howe Dad handled it cause this sucks.
All my son cares about now is how soon he will be back to fighting BJJ.

I'll keep ya'll posted

Prayers for all of you! If Josh still wants to ride, then I would let him ride! I don't want my kiddos to get hurt, but I want them to really live. I have many family members that seldom do anything fun because of fear. Not me, and not my kids.

Jerrel, sounds like an eventful week!

We'll be praying for a speedy recovery... for your son. To you, not so much! I'm sure if she hammers you, you prolly did something to deserve it some time!

Boys will find a way to get hurt no matter what the sport is. You can't protect them forever!

haha his name is Dominic. My phone corrected his name and changed it to jos.
Technology rocks....

He has only been in surgery for a little while and it seems like days.

He will ride no problem, he crutched out to the garage and replaced the brake lever yesterday while I was gone.

well...i'm assuming that since he still has the bike, you aren't in that much trouble. However, if you need me to step in and take the beatings from your wife, what kind of bikes will I be taking home??? Lol.

Good luck with the earful, and I wish your son the best recovery.

...i'll do anything for more bikes!

but maybe not taking a knife...i really couldn't take another woman telling me that "enough is enough" or "one more injury and all the bikes are sold to the first buyer, be it $50".

I think I'll pass...haha

I already like you..

Great advice!

Best and fast healing wishes for your son.

As someone else said, kids will get hurt no matter what. You can't have them sit in front of computer games all day and be wrapped in bubble wrap. At least he wore all his gear and didn't get hurt worse.

It does bite that he won't be able to ride for a while.
