Smile PoPo's Dad having Heart Surgery on 01-15-08

Hey guys and galls, for those that don't know, my father is having a Triple (3) bypass surgery tomorrow at 7:30 am... This is his second (2) surgery of this kind... the 1st one was 10 years ago and he came out just fine... My father IMO has been the greatest father in the world and I ask that you keep him in your prayers tonight no matter who you pray to... Thanks in advance...

My prayers are with him popo. My father is at UTMD in Galveston emergency waiting on a catscan to find out the extent of his heart surgery too. Only 46 yrs old. I wish the best for him and your family. Stuff like this scares the out of me. If your dad is like mine, I have never seen my dad so nervous in his life. But they are right, best place to have to get it done. Keep us up to date, I would definetely like to know how things go.

I know how you feel PoPo cuz I was there when my Dad had his surgery, 5 bypasses. I also know how he feels cuz I had my own in 1995, 7 bypasses. I would be nervous too. But on the bright side, technology has come so far that this is now commonplace, almost another day at the office. We will be thinking about him as the day progresses and waiting for your update to let us know all is well. Best wishes and a speedy recovery!

not to worry the medical field have this proceedure down to a science, my father in law is 84 and he has been opened up 3 or 4 times and he is still as spunky as ever.

good luck to him on the surgery and the rehab.

Bypass surgery is the most common of the major surgeries performed each year - over 600,000 of them in the U.S. last year.
