tire patch question

ok got a nail in my tire the other day patched with a plug , i talked to a guy at a tire repair shop said he could could patch it from the inside because the plug will eventually come out, a few guys already told me about the plug coming out, i was wondering if anyone has had anything good to say about internaly plugged patched tires on bikes, and how long you think i could run on it, i dont have 150 bucks to ust drop on a new tire, the one i have is ok thanks

I don't recommend plugging them.
In the past I've ridden with plugged tires when I couldn't afford a replacement. Most of the time I haven't had an issue, but I did have a plug come out of a rear tire at about 80 and it was no fun.

I've got a few race take offs left, I can sell you one $50.00 to get you through if needed.

BTW Search the FS I think PreK posted up a set for a decent price(obo)

Or ask around for some track take offfs to get you by for a bit.

ive had a few tires patched from the inside and it lasted the life of the tire.. but the little plug you put in the tire will come out when the sealant you put on the outside gets rubbed off from normal riding.

man if you get the patch plugs....(((the ones with a patch and a plug))))) they will be fine, i used to run em all the time and went 150+ and did burnouts and all that dumb and not one ever came out
