I have the alpinestars knee pads but have stopped wearing them because ... I wear boots now and it must be because I'm short or something but the knee/shin guards are too long and bump up against the top of my boots.

I've been looking for specifically just knee pads with no shin protection. As of yet all I can find are the ones for skateboarding and rollerblading, the problem here is that they are really thick and don't fit well under pants.

Have found Cortech jeans that have leather on the inside PLUS CE rated knee pads built in ... so ... casual look, leather protection (knees and seat) with CE armour.

I just ordered a pair from Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited and will let you guys know how it looks and feels.
