I've had both and prefer Sirius.
FWIW, I haven't had any issues with reception anywhere except when in a tunnel or under a long overpass, but you're going to have that with any satellite system.

Ok went to a local cypress place that was recomended for the sirius radio setup
The guy said that the portable sirius radio set-up is basically useless. said reception is crappy and they don't install those. BUT they will install a new sirius equiped radio unit.
So WHO had the small, window/dash mounted portable ones and how is the reception?
FM modulator?
etc. i really don't want to get a new radio
