**** That is what friends are for! I would like to think if it had been me, he would have done the same! Besides, I was not the only one that helped out! Doug took time out of his track day to drive Tim over to me! And I know he was not the only one to offer! Track riders really are like family and we take care of our own!

Ariel & Tim - i hope you both recover quickly and get back on the track ASAP.

**** I have NO doubt that both will be back on the track in no time! Tim as all the parts to put the track bike back together and will be woking on it soon!

Ariel, i honestly would like to know how it happened, why was someone so close to you? I mean it was a LMS track day, Buck usually runs a small number of people at a time.

**** It was rider error! The rider that hit Ariel, just misjudged the distance and speed! It happens! As soon as the session was over Buck had another riders meeting and reiterated the rules and reminded everyone to think while they ride!
**** Tim's accident was a classic rear end step out, then it decides to grab and off you go! At least he learned to fly! He still needs to work on the landing!
Who was the other rider involved? Why were there soo many accidents? Weather? Riders fooling? Morning sessions? Track change? What happened? I'm sure others would like to know aswell.

**** The other rider involved with Ariel's crash had only a broken collar bone and was released before Tim and Ariel!

I don't want some story going on - so how about you give us your version of the story of how it happened? I understand brake fade, but getting hit from behind? Where on the track were you guys?

Too many questions? eh. I'd just like to know. I understand if you don't want to asnwer.

**** I am sure Ariel will chime in here soon! We ALL know how he loves to talk/type!!!!

How was the ride on the R6? I forge his name. I met him at a prior track day. He was a of a nice guy, very fast and very helpful.

but the track kills bikes. i like my bike in one piece, that is the reason i haven't done a trackday on it.

The information being posted in the forum in incorrect. I spoke directly with the one witness of the crash and one of the two involved. Both Larry and Ange062 agree that Ange did not hit PoPo until he was on the ground. Ange062 says that he saw PoPo grab what he considered to be too much brake.

Ange062 was following to close but did not make contact until after PoPo was on the ground. Larry even said that Ange062 tried to maneuver to miss PoPo after he was on the ground.

I know PoPo felt he got hit before falling and while I cannot account for this, Ange062 did not cause his fall. Ange062 did suffer a broken collar bone and is painfully resting at home.

While I agree with PoPo saying that there is no need to assign fault, I also don't like all this incorrect information.

My take on all the crashes is the same that happens to all first of the year trackdays. People haven't rode in a while so they are a little rusty compared to how they were doing the year before. But the weather being sooo nice makes people push harder too.

I have seen the same thing at LS and Ride Smart trackdays. They were tons of crashes on the first trackday of the year.
