Riders update MSRH today

Everyone that went down today is doing well and moving under thier own power. Haven't heard on Charles Sackey yet, but he was doing good when I spoke with him as they loaded him... and stoked he had turned a :43 the previous lap. Larry was right behind PoPo when he went down going into the carousel.
Everyone will post thier own version in time, but for now everyone is doing well. The bikes on the other hand.....................

I finally made it back home. I had a classic high side in the back section after the keyhole. Ended up with a dislocated finger, broken big toe which also needed 4 stitches, a very sore ankle, but all in all fared pretty well. Thanks to everyone for their help getting our gear together.

To all: as far as posting versions of what happened and finger pointing at " who is at fault," is irrelavent IMO... We as riders know the risk when we get on the bike and hit the track... We can sit and arm chair QB ANY accident in the world but As I stated earlier, If Pros go down than we as mosty amature riders are subject to the same fate as they are... I for one will not finger point at anyone and I hope that the same would not be done towards me... An accident is just that, an ACCIDENT... we just have to learn from the mistakes and get back out there and do what we love to do, RIDE!!!

Sounds like I missed the drama that apparently went on (per your comments), but truer words were never spoken.

Just remember, it's usually the un-indoctrinated that cast aspersions on situations such as yours.

Glad to see you're up and posting Time to look for that dedicated track bike now?

I was involved in one of the accidents. I was almost out of turn 15 (last left hander before the launch) when I was struck from behind by another rider. He hit me in my tail pipe and turned me a bit side ways. After I regained control, I looked over just in time to see him take a bad spill in the dirt.

There were several people watching from the stands who thought he was going to make it but said he had to dump it to keep from hitting the tire wall.

I know which rider it was but I didn't get a chance to meet him or find out how he was. Does anyone know?

Not a Track for New Riders on 1/12/08

Well, I had a blast learning to lean my bike with confindence, even though I was going ultra slow. Thanks to all who gave me great Pointers and pointed out all of My mistakes. I Have always been the one who gets stupid and ends up hurt, but not this time, I feared for the other riders safety and got off the track much to Alonso's and Buck's recomendations regarding the track being real fast. Im glad all of the riders made it ok.

With such a variety of skill levels out there accidents are bound to happen. Not bashing on anyone or any org just an observation.

Personally, I think Buck's regular days shouldn't be open people with less than 10 or so TD's or at least running in the front of B group at LSTD.

+1 Im getting a membership at that track that way i can ride when there are less riders out, this way i can get my skills down at my pace.

Well the True end result is this: We ALL made it out alive... as my quote says-
" We do not take these risks to Escape life, but to keep life from escaping us" For many of us getting out on a bike and pushing it to its limits is LIFE... This is how we choose to live it... and with that choice we sign an imaginary disclosure stating that: WE KNOW THE RISK... !!! And for those that got I hope we can all start living life on 2 wheels again soon...

Popo thats great and I'm very happy you feel this way. Really I am. But get some more track time under your belt and then you will see what I mean. I'm still a n00b you can ask anyonehere but have a bit more seat time than you. Again, read my post I was not targeting anyone or any org. TY for your time.
