Pct. 7 Motorcycle Officer Down

Went down near Cullen / Yellowstone. He was working a funeral procession when a driver made left turn from the wrong lane. Officer struck driver side door of the other vehicle, DOA at the hospital.

! i saw a moto cop today on his way to work using 1 hand to drive with then he had a glove in his mouth digging in his pocket for something...RIP none the less, they have a job i def dont want to do!

unless there were two exact same types of accidents at the same location... that rider is Constable Clopton, who is the brother of an HPD officer at my station. Last i was informed by him...the constable suffered non-life threatening injuries...he's NOT dead. he's banged up but still kicking.

ok... here's the skinny....

just spoke with another ofc at my station who spoke with the constable's brother today....

the constable suffered a broken neck and a broken vertabrae... not sure how serious the fractures are or if he's paralyzed... although this is not good news...at least he's alive which is the most important thing.

sep incident. wrong guy.

call dropped at 1400. i got there later and it was already a confirmed fatality.

ok then... it's crazy how there were two accident's of the same type... ie. hitting a car that made a turn during a funeral procession, striking the car door...on Cullen...and both being PCT 7 constables.......:/:

guess it's not a good week for PCT 7

people never pay attention to the bikes during the funeral procession.... too busy gawking instead of paying attention
