Someone Got me Good

Whataburger at El Dorado/I-45 around 12:30 -12:45 last night, someone ripped off my right side fairing. He was fast cause I never would of thought it to be. I did have it in a parking space, diagonal somewhat. And ironically I was going to tighten the fairings this weekend cause it was somewhat loose at the bottom connection behind the front wheel. I have to get a Nose Cone and right-side panel. From now on I'm ALWAYS parking next to the entrance. I would give anything to have caught that coward in action!!

I could see it from where I was. That's what me off the most. It had to have happened within a 3 minute window tops.

You know I had thought that. And even retraced my path. But you can see the Nose Cone is cracked like someone kicked it. The bottom fairings weren't connected and I was thinking that it could have from all the turbulence building up underneath, putting pressure around the screws. It seems like it just made it easier for him to pull it back and break it off. But yeah I thought the same thing as well cause it happened so fast.

I don't think anyone could have unscrew the fairing that fast without a tool in hand.

You think it's worthwhile? I can't see what I could do if I get the fairing back cause there is part of the fairing still around the screw. I don't know how well it woudl maintain its integrity if I tried to put it back on. I may just call it in. I would take pics but my dig cam messed up and my phone cam sux.

did you remember anything hit you on your leg or foot? If you do, I bet that is what it is. You might want to retrace you route with daylight to have a better search.

One time, I dropped my glass on the road and I had to turn around to pick it up and I couldn't find it. I only had one block to do a u-turn and still can't find the glass or particles of it. This was still daylight. Boggles me til this very day.

no insurance I'm out about 250 from what I've been looking into on Craigs/ebay..I was thinking about just getting liability anyways but still. I would still need the theft/wind to have it covered. I'm definitely getting it now tho
