carrots = good

rice cakes = not good, empty calories, yes its true your not hungry, you may lose weight but you aren't healthy.

Swimming is THE best way. But any cardio will do.

Do not eat less when trying to build up your core muscles, eat more. Good protein, beans, FISH, chicken, even peanuts.

I love protein shakes, through some 1%, or skim milk in them, sometime ill put some ice cream in there.

I also took NOX and Creatine, but I highly recommend you don't. Do it the right way.

And as for muti-vitiams, To me they're useless. Your body can't absorb all that at once.

Edit: oh and no empty calories, if your gonna eat, don't eat those rice things.
If you need a stack, fruits, veggies are the way to go.

Cut mostly every thing that is processed, no fast food, etc.
sure if i eat Almonds for snacks too, and i also do a whey protein shakes too for my snacks, i do veggies too, i do the rice cakes for something different every now and then

You're not going to gain weight or hinder your weight loss from it. Also I agree with poopstinksalot, if you do lose the weight, you will be skinny fat, and you want those hot six pack abs! so eat eat some food! just try to eat as clean as you can, you don't have to cut carbs that much. you could even split your intake to 40% protein 40% carbs and 20% fat and you'll still be fine.
girl you know your stuff

when your hungry you eat them. Your body says this to you "wtf? I asked for food, not paper"

and yes I have conversations with myself.

Do you excercise?

I was just wondering, i am going to lose 50 lbs, i have done it before without any exercising, i'm eating 5 meals a day, 1000 calorie per day, i snack on rice cakes, sugar free jello, or sugar free icy pops, and i play a game of basketball for my exercise per day. I currently weight 185lbs. My goal is i want a 6-pack.

If anyone has any meal tips etc, please share

thanks

so true, and dont be scared of carbs... just dont eat bleached/refined carbs, like flour, or white rice (rice cakes are ok if bulking, and trying to spike blood insulin levels) i think you need to start around 2500 cals, and work from there. if you're losing more than 2-3lbs a week, then you are losing too fast. funny thing is you say you lost the weight already by doing this diet, but here you are again and overweight, so it obviously didnt work. get your diet in check, and look at it as a new way of eating, not just a fad diet to drop some weight quickly. i would breakdown macros just as rawrie explained 40/40/20... dont eat fat with carbs, eat carbs/protien together, or fat/protien together. stay away from sugar.
also, where is your lifting routine????

well the no carbs is just for two weeks, then i can eat the carbs, the 2 weeks is the detox period of the diet, sure i did but the weight back on, but it took 5 years, i normally eat good but the last few years i noticed my diet changed eating out more, so i decided i need to lose the weight

Fact is that dieting will help you lose wieght while exercise will make you gain weigh but that is due to muscle being more dence and heavier than fat. So when you consider a diet and exercise keep in mind that you will gain some back with your workouts, but it is healthier mass.

no shes absolutely right. and eating 1000 cals a day is plain stupid... unless you are some sort of freak to the human race, in which your body conserves muscle instead of fat when it goes into starvation mode, ima call bs on this
