New here and looking for a dealer...

I've been wanting a bike for a while now and have finally convinced the wife to let me get one. The only problem is that I have to get rid of my Stang first. I haven't had too much luck selling it on my own and was just wondering if anybody knows any dealerships that take trade ins of cars for bikes. I'm looking for something in the 600cc category like the Yamaha R6, Honda 600RR, or the GSXR600. I've looked around, but couldn't find anything. Just hoping somebody on here could help me out as I can't find any dealerships like this. Thanks for any help and hope to be joining soon!

George

Re: New here and looking for a dealer...

sell your car at www.westsidemustangs.com

no dealer will take a car as a trade unless its a used car dealer that happens to have a bike for sale.

maybe you should start off on a smaller bike instead of a 600. a 600cc compared to a 1000cc bike isnt that much diffrent other than top speed and acceleration. a 600cc can go from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and 0-100 in 5 seconds. so its not exaclty what you call a good beginners bike.

Re: New here and looking for a dealer...

lol.

a 600cc SS bike isnt slower than a 1300cc cruiser. its the other way around. when you get on a 600 SS bike you will be posting how much power it has and how you were blown away how twitchy the throttle is.

good luck, you will need it right:

Re: New here and looking for a dealer...

thats a sweet car, i recmond the MSF even if you have ridden a few times before. i had been riding my bike before i got around to getting my license and i still feel that it was worth what it taking the course.

as far as your first bike goes, arturo is right its gonna be nothing like the bikes you where on. a 600 isnt bad if your eally want the 600 i would at least look at somthing like the fz6 yfz 600r honda f4i

another thing most people dont realize when they first start looking at bikes, is that the "starter bikes" hold there value very well if you buy them used, i paid 1700 for my first bike got a helmet and jacket that fit good with it put a few thousand miles on it and then turned around sold it for 1700 and kept the helmet and jacket lol. thats pretty much how it works for most people who gets a bike just to learn on.

also, when people recomond that you get a slower bike, its not just that "you cant handle it" its just a lot of people who start on a bike thats easy to handle will be able to handle the 600cc SS bikes a lot better then some one that started riding at the same time and has only had the 600

Re: New here and looking for a dealer...

Thanks for the welcome guys! And I will do my best not to kill my self if I get a ss bike. MSF course is already on the agenda!

I am asking $16,000 Porschito. Trade in is around $14,450 and retail is $16,950. I figured $16,000 is a fair amount with all the upgrades that are done. Offers are welcome, but I can only do so much as I owe more than asking price and have to make up the difference.
