I guess Ten Kate Honda wasn't even at the test. At least I hope not. I mean, if they can't beat 'no time' by Neukirchner, then they need to re-think racing in '08!

I don't know. I think "Superglue" is going to shine on the superbike. Checa will make a decent showing, but still never podium or win. lol Isn't there a third rider as well?

Especially when ridden by Bayliss at Phillip Island (Aus)! Fair comparisons can't truly be made until it's been run at other tracks.

If ever a rider had a home track advantage, it is Bayliss at Phillip Island.

Other questions:
Will 2008 be the "Year of the Samurai", can Nitro Nori finally get one?
Will Biaggi get it done on a "customer" Ducati, Lo how the mighty have fallen!

I hope so! He had a pretty good shot in '07 if not for Biaggi, who knows.

Not sure about the championship. I doubt it, but I would expect him to fight for some podiums if Xaus' results were any indication of what the team is capable of.

I still think the rules were changed to fit the Duc.... again.

+1 on Bayliss, honestly though, that guy could pimp a pit bike and beat half the field!

Kaggers fastest on GSXR overall, Bayliss out with suspected broken collarbone !!!
Bayliss 2nd, Fabrizio 3rd, Xaus 4th.
Like you say, Ducati cup all over again.

The times of the top 5 riders are all witihn .5 second or less of each other, and there are 3 Japanese bikes witihn that range; 1 GSXR and 2 R1's.

For WSBK sake I hope it does NOT turn back into the "Ducati Cup", with Ducati filling the top 5 positi9ns i8n every race, we shall see.

I would hate to see a return to the "Ducati Championship" also...yawn! There were a couple of Ducati teams from the British series that pulled out and went to the WSBK since BSB wouldn't change their rules, so there will be more Ducs out there this year than last year. Hopefully, Japanese manufacturers will increase their support/R&D, etc. to keep things competitive. Hannspree is sponsoring WSBK through 2010, I imagine we'll keep seeing Hondas in the paddock, as long as RTK wants to run them.

SUPERBIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - TIMES COMBINED
1. Kagayama (JPN-Suzuki) 1'321
2. Bayliss (AUS-Ducati) 1'322
3. Fabrizio (ITA-Ducati) 1'323
4. Xaus (ESP-Ducati) 1'323
5. Nieto (ESP-Suzuki) 1'323
6. Haga (JPN-Yamaha) 1'324
7. Corser (AUS-Yamaha) 1'327
8. Biaggi (ITA-Ducati) 1'328
9. Laconi (FRA-Kawasaki) 1'330
10. Tamada (JPN-Kawasaki) 1'334
11. Neukirchner (GER-Suzuki) 1'355

The Yamaha's, a years development behind them and unchanged rider line up, Haga & Corser.
The Suzuki's, a years development behind them, Kagayama unchanged, Nieto and Neukirchner up from the '06 bike !
The Dukes, fresh out the crate so to speak !!!!!!!
Looks ominous to me
