Flip-up Modular helmets

I'm going to need a modular helmet for daily riding since I wear glasses during the week. I have 4 helmets Im considering based on reviews from webbikeworld.com. The Vega 2 (great reviews and good price) the Hjc cl max (pricey and heavy but hinges and clamps are metal) the Kbc FFR (heavy and noisy but has best latching system and a decent price, the reviewer gave the Vega a better score) and last the Gmax G44 (nice features including pockets for earphones and good customer reviews but I dont trust spending $111 for a helmet). I cant really settle for a full face since I wear glasses alot and the Gmax and Vega brands Ive never heard of. Any help?

p.s. as far as I know no modular helmets have passed the Snell test since no manufacturere has submitted one for testing.

Nolan N102. This is the helmet I wear 95 percent of the time. Really like it. and the sunvisor thing works well for me.

Full face is definetly out, I have very flimsy wire frame glasses that annoy the out of me even with a batting helmet on (and would probably break forcing them in out and on). Ive considered Nolan and schuberth just dont have that kind of cash to drop atm (will within 5 or so months)

i would recommend a the SHOEI, don't know about the others, but the clasp between the flip up part and the helmet on SHOEI's are metal vs plastic.

yeah ed the hjc and kbc both have the metal clasp that shoei has as well without the $500 price tag . I know you get what you pay for and no cost can substitute for your skull but the prices of the brands I had named were very reasonable for my situation right now.

All have met DOT and euro 22.5 standards (Iirc the euro standard is just as harsh as U.S. Snell)

same here, i wear thick glasses in a rf-1000 (shoei) and it fits fine. i would have to advise against a flip up. =/

Metal hinge on mine - Caberg Jusstisimo. I think they either changed the name or made and "updated" version that replaced it this year, but it's also got a drop-down internal sun visor that I love - no more carrying around a tinted/clear visor to swap out!

Shoei, HJC and KBC, in that order.
Vega and G Max are very low quality helmets IMO.
