Talking Cheap Insurance

I called soooooo many places trying to get insurance set up for my new purchase this week and i kept getting ridiculous quotes. I'm 27, married, home owner, 1 speeding ticket. I'm buying a 07 CBR 1000rr. Because its a liter bike the quotes were way high. This is what i got:

Farmers- $5486

Geico- $2085

Allstate- $5200

Progressive- $4800

State Farm- $5400

I thought it was going to be cheaper going through the same company (State Farm) that i had my home insurance through but my agent didn't really help me on that.

I filled one of those insurance quote forms online and a whole bunch of agents start callin you within minutes. Well a State Farm agent called me and i told him that i had already gotten a quote from them. He asked how much the quote was and i told him $5400. He was like "I don't know where they got that number from but i can do it for $840 a year." (70 bucks a month) I didn't believe him at first and figured he just messed up but i ran him back all the info 2 more times and he still gave me the same quote.

So i guess not all State Farm agents are gonna give you the same quote.

WINNER
State Farm in Tomball
Scott- 281-516-3853

This was for full coverage including theft, wind and fire coverage. $1000 deductible.

There was no way i was gonna pay more than half the value of the bike for one year of full coverage insurance. Holla at that boy Scott if you need some cheap insurance.

All I can suggest is that you read your policy very closely. My wife owns her own agency and although I am 20 yrs. older than you with a clean driving record, I can't get that kind of rate on my 675. Buyer beware!

I checked him out and got the $5400 quote. As long as the paper says i have full coverage that will satisfy my loan. The only other thing i really care about is the theft coverage.
