Making a new Key

Just wondering what you guys had to do to make a copy of your Honda key for your bike. Do i just take the key and my title to the dealership??

Also, what if my key is jacked up from a wreck?

They can cut a key just by looking at the VIN number I think, you DO have to show proof of ownership so take the title with u.

If the key is still good just take it to any locksmith. They will copy it. They dont care what it goes to.

No kidding? For some reason, I always thought motorcycle keys had to be done at the dealer or through the mfr.

That's good to know!

They aint no Benz laser cut key or GM key with a chip. Just a plain double sided key.

most locksmiths carry motorcycle key blanks, maybe not at homedepot or fiesta.
