Do you guys not have/use GAP insurance ??

I agree 100% but this is not what was stated over and over by the representative on this very site. He was drilled more than once about this and he always stood behind his statement.
Not that you would want to buy it if you're being told the policy your buying gives full cost replacement !!

I've had really good experiences with Safeco and Geico, and both were very affordable.

Yup, progressive wanted $6,000/yr. for me. 22 yearls old(then) squely clean record, on a 636. A few others were around or just over $1,000. I know it's all high, but I undertand why. 25 in a few more months though.

i hate to say it but I will...

Insurance companies are in the business of making money, not paying out top dollar. Therefore settlement becomes like many other business activities. They make an offer (the least they think you will accept), you do not have to accept that offer. By simply challenging the first offer I received for settlement on the last bike wreck I received 1300$ more. I have had friends challenge insurance offers as well and usually get a better settlement without a whole lot of hassle.

Unless they are offering you full, max, policy value they are probably just throwing out a lowball offer. Feel free to challenge this, if you don't there is no one to get upset with besides yourself. It is the way that the system typically works.

Same here,
Have both my vehicles, and 3 bikes insured with them. Not the cheapest probably, but service has always been top notch.

What ever happened to father hAmco?
Never see that dirt bag on TV anymore. Not that I miss him.

Why isn't GMAC in Texas?

I had great full coverage (30/60/30 with $150 deductible) with GMAC on a 2006 GSXR1000 in NM for $340 a year!!!! Included $1500 in accessories and paid for my gear (paid retail for replacement) after a woodland creature incident. They won't cover bikes in Texas for some reason. It doesn't sound like I can come close to that here.

To top it off I was dropped and they told me it was b/c my bike had been stolen within a year of the purchase of the policy.

Carefull of the last Star Fighter company.
By any chance was this SF I heard of them dropping people after accidents or other claims.

I have had StateFarm since I had my 350Z they paid almost everything that I had on the car. For the bike I still went with them and added GAP for $100. Thanx to HTFFFCU.
